Organizational Structure
The NYWC operates through a well-defined hierarchical structure:
- · Global Leadership: The highest governing body is the Board of Council Directors (BCD), which provides overarching strategic direction.
· National Structure (Nigeria): The BCD is followed by the National Executive Council, Zonal Coordinators, State Chairmen, and Local Government Executives.
· International Structure: The NYWC has appointed Country Coordinators and National Presidents to lead its chapters in various countries across the globe.
Affiliations
- The NYWC is affiliated with several prestigious African and international youth organizations, including the African Youth Union, the International Youth Congress, and various other African inter-global youth bodies.
Impact
Since its initiation in 2020, the NYWC has been instrumental in facilitating numerous youth empowerment programmes, scholarship schemes, and support initiatives, aligning its actions with the goals of the National Youth Policy.

- Preserving and promoting the sovereignty, unity, and progress of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by guaranteeing the security and welfare of the Youth Constituency.
2· Promoting a national policy based on social justice, freedom, equality, egalitarianism, the rule of law, peace, and progress for all.
3· Advocating for a society that guarantees equality of opportunity for all Nigerians, free from any form of discrimination.
4· Encouraging a culture of service to humanity as the core reason for political participation. This involves reinventing the polity by promoting the values of:

Introduction
The Nigeria Youth World Council (NYWC) is a non-governmental, non-partisan, and not-for-profit organization. It was established to serve as the umbrella body and the official mouthpiece for Nigerian youths, both within the nation and across the global diaspora. The Council is charged with the critical responsibility of policy formulation, advocacy, and implementation on issues pertaining to youth development.
History and Formation
The concept of the NYWC was initiated in 2020 by various gallant comrades and nationalists during the Great COVID-19 era, a period that underscored the need for a unified youth voice. The council’s full structural formation was finalized and set on November 11th, 2024.
