NIGERIA YOUTH WORLD COUNCIL (NYWC) CELEBRATES DIPLOMATIC ENGAGEMENT
WITH HIS EXCELLENCY AMBASSADOR IBOK-ETE EKWE IBAS. LAGOS, NIGERIA
The Nigeria Youth World Council (NYWC) is honored to recognize His Excellency
Ambassador Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana, as part of our
commitment to fostering youth development and international cooperation.
ABOUT AMBASSADOR IBOK-ETE EKWE IBAS
Born on September 27, 1960, in Nko, Cross River State, Ambassador Ibas is a decorated military leader
and diplomat. After graduating from the Nigerian Defence Academy, he served as Vice Admiral and Chief
of Naval Staff before becoming High Commissioner to Ghana. With 42 years of distinguished service, he
is a member of several professional bodies including the U.S. Naval Institute. He enjoys golf, reading, and
is married to Barr. Mrs. Theresa Ibas.
ABOUT NIGERIA YOUTH WORLD COUNCIL (NYWC)
Established in 2020 and formally launched in 2024, NYWC serves as Nigeria’s apex youth body,
promoting youth empowerment and policy development. As a non-governmental, non-partisan
organization, we work through national, zonal, and state structures to advance youth welfare, social
justice, and national unity.
