Condolence Message on the Passing of Former President Muhammadu Buhari
With a heart filled with sorrow but deep gratitude to God for a life of impactful service, I write on behalf of the Board of Directors and the entire Nigeria Youth World Council (NYWC) to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of former President Muhammadu Buhari and to the nation he so dutifully served.
President Buhari was more than a statesman—he was a symbol of integrity, discipline, and national rebirth. Throughout his lifetime, he remained unwavering in his commitment to the unity, peace, and progress of Nigeria. His legacy of strong leadership, anti-corruption drive, and dedication to public service will continue to shape our nation’s democratic journey.
To us at the NYWC, he was not just a former president, but a father figure—a guiding presence whose principles and passion for youth inclusion laid the foundation for meaningful youth participation in national development. His words, actions, and encouragement inspired many young Nigerians to believe in the promise of a better Nigeria.
As we mourn his passing, we are comforted by the legacy he leaves behind. We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) grants him eternal rest, forgives his shortcomings, and grants his family and the entire nation the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.
Indeed, Nigeria has lost a patriot, and we at NYWC have lost a mentor.
May his soul rest in peace.
May his legacy endure.
